We're bursting with excitement to share a pivotal moment in our journey with you!
Over the past decade, This Mum Runs has blossomed from a single Facebook post into a thriving community of 250,000 incredible women - on a mission to take on the challenges of lack of time and fear of judgment, helping Mums everywhere to be more active.
Along the way, as we've watched with immense pride the impact our communities have had on women's lives, health, and happiness, our ambition to reach and support more women has grown.
From our wider work in the sporting sector, we've also developed a deeper understanding of the many challenges all women and girls can face to being active at various stages of their lives - and how this has led to deep-rooted inequalities for women and their health & wellbeing.
And from this comes a determination to be a catalyst for broader change; we are more committed than ever to building a community where all women, at every stage of their lives, feel that they can belong
This is reflected in our new vision: to empower the 1 billion inactive women and girls worldwide to be more active, more often, for life - and is the driving force behind the news we share with you today - a new name!
Introducing our new name > This Woman Runs
This Woman Runs embodies the inclusivity, sense of connection, and unity that defines our wonderful community.
A simple change, maybe - but a significant one that allows us to organically evolve to become a space where all women, at all stages of life, from all walks of life, feel they belong and can find the meaningful connection that we all know is the catalyst to us being active for the longer term.
This isn't just a name change; it's a bold affirmation of our commitment to every woman who runs with us now, and we hope will run with us in the future.
What's Next?
Over the next month, you'll notice a few changes that we hope you love, as we unveil our new branding and website.
From social channel handles to group names and emails - we'll be working hard to make sure we transition to our new name seamlessly - it's a big piece of work with a lot of moving parts, so if there are any bumps along the way, or anything we miss, do let us know!
While This Woman Runs takes the spotlight, rest assured that This Mum Runs will forever hold a special place in our hearts (and running kit!), as it is where this incredible journey began and where so many of our members found friendship, headspace, and support.
