ESG POLICY

Mission Statement: At This Woman Runs, we are committed to fostering a sustainable future for generations to come. We recognize our responsibility to the planet, our communities, our employees & volunteers. Our mission is to empower women through running while prioritising environmental sustainability, social responsibility, employee wellness, corporate governance, and ethical supply chain management.

We adhere to the commitments required in the Code for Sports Governance (Tier 2).

Corporate Governance: Integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct are fundamental to our organization. We will uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring accountability, fairness, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Environmental Sustainability: We will minimise our environmental footprint by reducing waste, conserving resources, and adopting eco-friendly practices in all aspects of our operations. This includes implementing recycling programmes, and sourcing sustainable materials for collateral and merchandise.

Social Responsibility: We are dedicated to supporting and uplifting the communities we serve. We will actively engage with local communities and volunteer teams, create programmes that aim to tackle inequalities, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organisation, communities and programmes.

Employee and Volunteer Wellness: Our employees and volunteers are our most valuable asset. We are committed to providing a supportive and healthy work environment that prioritises physical and mental well-being. This includes offering flexible work arrangements, promoting work-life balance, regular one to ones and relevant training.

Our volunteers are the backbone of our organisation, contributing their time and expertise to support our mission. We are committed to ensuring their wellbeing by providing comprehensive support, training opportunities, and maintaining manageable workloads. We aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all volunteers.

Supply Chain Management: We recognise the importance of ethical sourcing and responsible supply chain management. We will partner with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability, fair labour practices, and human rights. We will also strive to reduce the environmental impact of our supply chain by minimising transportation emissions and promoting local sourcing wherever possible.

By adhering to these principles, This Woman Runs seeks to lead by example and inspire positive change within the running community and wider sports sector. We are dedicated to creating a more sustainable, equitable, and healthier world for all.
