Run30: A 10-Week Beginner Running Programme
Run30 is a supportive 10-week journey from zero to 30 minutes of running, designed to build your confidence, fitness and enjoyment with expert coaching and a friendly group around you.
Designed by This Woman Runs founder, Mel Bound, this is a tried and tested programme that has helped tens of thousands of women discover that running can actually feel good!
It’s built around time on your feet, not pace or distance, so everyone progresses at their own speed — and by the end of the programme, you’ll be able to run for 30 minutes continuously.

What's included in the course?
-
Weekly coached group session to guide you through each stage of the programme
-
A supportive WhatsApp group for accountability, encouragement and connection
-
Regular coach check-ins throughout the week
-
Up to two additional sessions each week to do in your own time or with others
-
Free access to the Run30 app (named Apple’s Best Running App in the UK, 2021), with guided sessions and interval timers - plus coaching from Mel in your ear as you go!
-
A programme built on a proven, progressive structure that works
You’ll meet together every week, be supported every step of the way, and connect with a group of women who are on the same journey as you.
With expert coaching, encouragement between sessions, and a real sense of community, Run30 is designed to help you build lasting confidence and change how you feel about movement for good - it often changes how people feel about running more than they expect!

Designed for everyone to succeed
Run30 is designed so that everyone can succeed - it’s not about how fast you go, just about building consistency and confidence in a way that feels achievable and enjoyable.
And once you’ve completed the programme, you can continue your journey by joining our free weekly TWR community runs, which take place at the same time and location - making it easy to keep showing up and stay part of the community.
Meet your RunMakers
Our Runmakers are the incredible women who lead every Run30 session. Specially trained to support participants from zero to 30 minutes of running, they’re there to guide and motivate women every step of the way.
Runmakers are so much more than session leaders. They’re volunteers who create a welcoming, supportive environment where women can build confidence, achieve their goals and discover what they’re capable of.
They give their time, energy and encouragement to help women transform their relationship with running, and they make a real difference to our communities.

Winchester RunMaker
Emma Smart
Hi, I’m Emma, Community Leader and Run Angel for TWR Winchester. I started running after moving to Bristol and taking part in the Run 30 programme. I went on to join the TWR team as a Run Angel and when we moved to Winchester during Covid we set up the TWR community here. The social side of the TWR and in particular the Run 30 course is what I really love about the community.

Nailsea RunMaker
Dominique Edwards
I’ve been a Run Angel with This Woman Runs in Nailsea since it launched in 2019, and I really enjoy helping women make running feel achievable, sociable and, dare I say it, enjoyable!
I’m now starting as a Run Maker, delivering Run30, supporting women as they build from starting out to running continuously for 30 minutes. I’m a big believer in running at the pace of chat, keeping things encouraging and making sure nobody feels left behind.

Hi I’m Nic, I joined TWR in 2020 & then became a Run Angel shortly after.
The TWR Community has changed my life in so many ways , I’ve found life long friendships, achieved things I could only dream of & ran further than I ever thought possible! All this from coming along to the fantastic social runs!

Hi, I’m Ruth one of the Clevedon Run Angels, supporting the Nailsea Run Makers for TWR.
I did couch to 5k during lockdown, and simultaneously joined the North Somerset TWR group.
I can't wait to meet and support the next group of women starting their own TWR journey and share the TWR love!

I''m Rachael and I've been running with TWR since it's inception and been a Runmaker for TWR since 2016 and have coached hundreds of women on Run30. I love coaching this course and seeing women achieve what they are not sure they can at the start.

Falkirk RunMaker
Dee-Anne Chalmers
Hi I am Dee, I am one of the Falkirk Run Angels I began running as I wanted to challenge myself to something I didn't think I could do. I've now ran lots of different distances and run every week with the girls which I love!

Greville Smyth RunMaker
Katherine Thomasset
I was never very sporty at school and still have bad memories of PE lessons, and although I got into the habit of regular exercise and occasional running throughout my adulthood, I didn’t really feel the running joy until I discovered TWR when I turned 50 back in 2018 - I realised that running is so much more fun when you have someone to chat to! I soon trained as a run angel and have been trying to share the joy by leading runs at Greville Smyth Park in Bristol ever since.

Northampton RunMaker
Barb Isbell
Hi, My name is Barb and I am a Run Marker for Northampton. I love seeing the difference in confidence as the course progresses and the friendships that are made!
